Your journey continues along the Draa River, one of the longest valleys in Morocco. In addition, you will have several stops for photos and short walks to admire the scenery. After lunch in a local restaurant, you head deeper toward Zagora, a town famous for its desert culture and peaceful atmosphere.
On the second day, you travel from Zagora to Mhamid, the last village before the vast Sahara. The road becomes quieter, and the air feels more desert-like. Furthermore, you will pass nomadic tents, rocky plateaus, and small oases along the way. Once you reach Mhamid, your camel ride begins. The slow rhythm of the camels and the wide open dunes create a unique sense of freedom. You then arrive at your desert camp for sunset.
In the evening, you enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under a sky full of stars. Local music, warm hospitality, and the silence of the desert make the night unforgettable. As a result, the experience becomes a deep connection with nature.

Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ouarzazate at 8.00am for this 3 day tour into the Desert of Erg Chegaga. Enjoy a journey along green valleys and experience the nomadic life in the desert. We will drive through the 200km long Draa Valley, past millions of palm trees. Parts of our journey will be on a off road track towards Zagora.
We stop on the way to visit the underground Kasbah, the Koran Library and an interesting Pottery of historical Tamegroute before reaching Mhamid where we will enjoy our lunch. In the afternoon you willl be accompanied by a local guide to visit the traditional Kasbahs of Mhamid including the beautiful palm groves. Overnight including half board at Adventures Desert Camp, Mhamid.
Today we will leave from the “Gate of the desert” into the real and huge Sahara Desert. On the back of our camels we will cross a distance of 10 km over different small sand dunes.
Lunch will be enjoyed under an large, shady Tamarisk tree. Experience the simple, quiet life of the desert on a off the beaten track and learn more about the traditional nomadic life with its rich culture and customs. Around 03 p.m you are picked up by our 4×4 to enjoy the beautiful desert landscape passing by at a Sacred Oasis.
After our arrival at the camp, enjoy an unforgettable sunset up the sand dunes of Erg Chegaga. Overnight including half board at Adventures Desert Camp, Erg Chegaga.
Early morning enjoy the magic sunrise up the sand dunes followed by a hearty breakfast at the camp. We will leave the camp in our 4×4 Jeep via the old Paris-Dakar road, cross the dry Iriqui Lake and finally reach Foum Zguid. Lunch will be served in the berber village of Taznakht. Our journey continues to Ait Benhaddou where we will visit the 16th century UNESCO site.
Ait Benhaddou is one of the best preserved and most spectacular Kasbahs in Morocco. A famous site for Hollywood films, Ait Benhaddou was used for the blockbuster film of Gladiator. We will retourn back to Ouarzazate at around 5.00pm where our driver will drop you off at your accomodation.
